Rocket to Venus: Reviews & Ratings
This place is so cool!! I loved the atmosphere. The food was amazing. They have a little bit of something for everyone. The drinks were incredible and they even have a jukebox! This is a must stop if you are ever in Baltimore it’s a great hang out with really cool people and the bartenders are very friendly and I found parking for free right out front. I will definitely be going back. I highly recommend the steamed shrimp and the sauces for the chicken tenders were perfection.
Good food and drinks. Service was kinda weird because it’s all digital. It’s helpful for ordering because you can continually make orders throughout your time. However, we needed napkins and couldn’t find anyone walking around to ask. They have bathrooms and a nice bar. It was a cool setting and a good place to go with friends, family, or on a date.
It’s a cool restaurant. Lots of the staff are in bands or former performers (so said our waiter), so it’s cool to chat music with them. The service isn’t great, but they are friendly enough and I wasn’t in a rush so I enjoyed myself. Delicious food, but the fries were a touch too salty.
Atmosphere is great, and food selection is okay. The best time to go is during happy hour for their $0.89 perogies! However, they upcharge for everything (a cup of ranch if you've already ordered fries is $0.50!). Worth the dinner if you're seeing the lights on 34th Street, otherwise, I'd recommend eating somewhere with more available parking.
Fun little place with awesome food! We liked how we could seat ourselves and order through toast from our table. We got the pierogies to start and the onion crema for dipping was perfect. For our entrees we got the shrimp and grits and the a1 burger. Both were flavorful and very well balanced. For dessert we chose the fried PB & J, which was heavenly! All around a great experience!
We went for happy hour and got the margarita and figgy pop drinks and some pierogis. The value was great! I got the burger and my boyfriend got the cheesesteak. I didn’t try the cheesesteak but the Brussels sprouts were soooo good! I liked the fries as well but they came out after the mains and you could tell the gravy was a little solid. Got the wings before and they were good. The hot wings are the only place that when they say HOT they were hot! Will definitely go back.
I ordered a Hex Kambucha Moscow Mule and their Gumbo. Best Gumbo since visiting Louisiana. It was spicy enough, I had to order a second Mule
Great Bites, Minor Flights of Frustration This local launchpad dishes out some seriously tasty bites—but be prepared for a few quirks in your mission log. Beyond Burger w/ Facon & Bleu Cheese Originally came for their Black & Bleu Burger, only to discover the menu online is a relic from a bygone galaxy. Pivoted to a Beyond Burger with facon and a side of bleu cheese. Honestly? Still a win. Smoky, savory, and satisfying—though a little blackened seasoning would’ve taken it to hyperspace. Brussels Sprouts These deserve their own orbit. Crispy, charred, flavorful—possibly the best part of the meal. No Jedi mind tricks here—just phenomenal execution. Fried Pickles Tasty and crunchy, but $9 for five spears? That’s almost $2 per pickle spear (basically one pickle sliced five ways). For that price, I expected them to sing... or at least harmonize with the ranch. Iced Tea Refills? You’ll need to sell a droid. $4 with no refills was enough to send me straight to a glass of water. And honestly—on a meal over $40 (with food, tax, and tip), a refill should be part of the package. It's tea, not hyperfuel. ToastTab Digital Menu Here’s the curveball: you scan a QR code and are expected to order through your phone using Toast. Fine in theory—until you realize they ask for everything: name, phone, email, card info, mailing address... just to order dinner. Felt more like applying for a mortgage than grabbing a burger. I ended up going up to the bar to order directly (pro tip: there are no servers to take your order at the table). Final Verdict Rocket to Venus lands a solid hit with flavor—especially those Brussels sprouts—but the outdated website menu and ToastTab data grab threw off the flight path. Still worth a visit, just bring your patience, your appetite, and maybe… your own refillable iced tea.
